Terms of use

Use Whobam lawfully, honestly and without exposing other people.

These are the operating terms supplied with Whobam Platform v1.1.0. The site operator should obtain legal review, identify the contracting entity and add the governing-law, complaints and contact details appropriate to the live service.

The service

Whobam provides civic information, moderated directories, first-stage support routing, justice recognition and a survey platform. Information on the site is not a substitute for fact-specific legal, medical, financial or emergency advice.

Survey creation, token generation, response collection and standard exports are provided without a subscription or feature paywall. Free access remains subject to reasonable technical, security and fair-use controls needed to keep the service available and lawful.

Survey-creator responsibilities

A creator must have a legitimate and lawful purpose, collect only proportionate information, publish an accurate respondent notice, use an appropriate anonymity mode, protect token files and exported results, honour retention commitments and respond to valid rights or safeguarding requests.

A creator must not describe a survey as anonymous while asking for identity, assigning personally traceable tokens without disclosure, or combining questions that make individuals readily identifiable. Whobam’s technical mode cannot correct a misleading questionnaire or distribution process.

The creator remains responsible for survey wording, intellectual-property rights, required consents, research or ethics approval and the lawful use of exported data. Whobam may retain restricted operational records for security, safeguarding, incident handling and legal compliance as described in the applicable notice.

Prohibited use

Do not use Whobam for unlawful discrimination, harassment, impersonation, fraud, malware, credential collection, doxxing, retaliation against respondents, deceptive research, unauthorised special-category data collection, or content that infringes another person’s rights.

Moderation, suspension and records

Whobam may pause a survey, revoke tokens, restrict an account, preserve relevant records under a documented hold or remove material where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law or maintain the service. Public listings, reviews and nominations remain subject to moderation.

Availability and service boundaries

No website can guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect security or absolute anonymity in every circumstance. Users must maintain their own secure copies of permitted exports and should not rely on Whobam as the sole repository for legally required records.
